Greeting your new PSAs a with a special message from you, their SFI Sponsor, is an important part of welcoming a team member on board. Although the SFI system automatically sends a welcome email to your new PSA, a personal message from YOU sets a good foundation for your new relationship and lets your PSAs know that you're here for them. In fact, your enthusiasm and attention is a VITAL component of a successful business and could make all the difference for your new team member!
To create/send your welcome email to a new PSA (Personally Sponsored Affiliate):
1. In the "New PSA Notification" e-mail you received for your new affiliate, click the link referenced in the message to access your PSA's Affiliate Snapshot. This link will appear as https://www.sfimg.com/AffiliateSnaphot?sfiid=xxxxxxxx (with the xxxxxxxx being replaced by the ID number of the new affiliate). OR...you can simply go to your Genealogy report and click the name of an affiliate to view his/her Snapshot.
2. On the Snapshot, scroll down and click the Welcome tab. If you haven't already sent a welcome email, you'll see your welcome letter text, along with options to clear the text, load a default letter, and more.
3. Create your message or edit the default text to suit your own needs. Be sure to use the field ~firstname~ exactly as it appears here to automatically insert your affiliate's first name into the letter. You can also use the field ~lastname~ to automatically insert PSA's last name.
4. When you're satisfied with your letter, click the SAVE button to save your message so you can use it to send other welcome emails to future new affiliates.
5. To send your message, click the PREVIEW FORMATTED LETTER button and select SEND E-MAIL if you use an email application such as Mail or Outlook. If you use a web-based email service (i.e., Gmail, Yahoo Mail, etc.), just copy and paste the text into your e-mail new message window, and copy and paste your affiliate's e-mail address (located at the top of your Affiliate's Snapshot) into the send field and send your email.
6. Be sure to click the MARK AS SENT button on the Snapshot when you're done.
ALSO consider setting up a greeting for all your new PSAs when they log into the SFI Affiliate Center for the first time. After logging in, they will see an alert letting them know a message from you awaits them. Just go to this page and follow the simple instructions to create your welcome message. Plus, if you haven't already done so, you'll want to add a photo of yourself to accompany this greeting so your new affiliates know that their sponsor is a real person.
